Summer Sailing in Hawaii

Our summer sailing season is in full swing! Tradewinds have returned and the weather has finally normalized. Kaneohe Yacht Club is hosting the Pacific Cup Race which is a 2,100mi trip from San Francisco to Kaneohe Bay. There are 65 boats entered that will be pushing off starting mid-July and arriving just before the end of the month. But even locally, there is just so much sailing on the calendar and I encourage you to all take advantage of it! That may mean entering your boat or jumping on a friend’s depending on the day, location, and course for the Race. Literally every day of the week there is an on the water event!

Monday- “Mainsail Mondays” at Hawaii Yacht Club (Learn to sail and grill and meet new friends)

Tuesday- Cal 20 “Pig Out” races at Waikiki Yacht Club (5 or 6 Club owned boats can compete off Waikiki)

Wednesday- “Wet Wednesday” race at Keehi Lagoon (Race around the reef runway and through Keehi Lagoon)

Thursday- Bulkhead race at Kaneohe Yacht Club (Race around Kaneohe Bay with a new course each week)

Friday- “Beer Can” race put on by HYC and WYC (Race from the Ala Wai to Diamond Head Buoy and back)

RESULTS- 2024 KaLa Vodka Summer Circuit Sailing Regatta (6/8-6/10)

A special thanks to Kaneohe Yacht Club, the Race Sponsors, Rick Osborne and all the Volunteers at that made this Regatta such a success!

See you on the water!
